For all URC Harpenden Members;
Regretfully in light of the statement from Boris Johnson and the clarifying statement by the Health Secretary on Monday 16 March, we have decided to suspend Sunday morning services for the foreseeable future. This is also the recommendation of the United Reformed Church and our Synod.
We are concerned that our church family will be ok and that everyone will have what they need as far as possible so we are in the process of allocating a church friend to those in our church who are self isolating or who may need assistance in these very unusual times.
So please watch this space for further information shortly.
Just two more points, there are unfortunately people taking advantage of the present situation by trying to scam you into handing over money with the promise of doing your shopping for you etc, so please only trust a neighbour you know well, or someone from the church known to you, no one else!
Under no circumstance should you hand over your bank details i.e. account number, password or credit card details to anyone either personally, on the phone or in response to e-mails.
United Reformed Church Harpenden members that are worried they don’t have money for your shopping at the present time again don’t worry! we have a contingency plan that can help.
If you have a spare minute or two please pick up the phone to someone in our church family and have a chat it will lighten their day and show we care for one another.
Please remember everyone in your prayers and visit our advice page for guidance. Together in Christ we can face this challenge.
Many thanks, take care and God bless
